Petals curl up from the base like a sea anemone opening in a tide pool, or a water lily surfacing at dawn. This vintage petal bowl, circa 1980s–1990s, was made by Walther Glas in Germany in a soft, opaque glass the maker called Jade Green, the milky color of beach glass worn smooth by the surf. Hold it to a window and the scalloped rim lights up with a translucent glow. Set it on a shelf, a nightstand or an entry table to catch keys, shells or a bundle of dried hydrangea.
