Sea-glass aqua, white stripes running down its sides like rigging lines, and hundreds of tiny bubbles caught in the glass as if it had just been pulled up from shallow water. This blown glass ice bucket is attributed to Venini, the Murano glass house, which made striped Italian art glass ice buckets like this one as promotional pieces for Disaronno in the 1970s and 80s. It brings a little salt air to the bar cart, whether it's holding ice for a round of drinks or sitting on a shelf where the light can find it.
- Attributed to Venini for Disaronno; unsigned, original label absent
- These were originally identified by a removable "Venini for Disaronno" label. This piece has no label and no etching or signature, so the attribution is based on its design.
- Aqua blown glass with white vertical stripes and suspended bubbles throughout
- Applied clear glass scroll handles on each side
- Measures 5 1/4" wide across the glass and 5 1/4" tall
- Excellent vintage condition: no chips or cracks
- Polished pontil on the bottom
- Sale is for the ice bucket only. The tray, coupe glass, tongs and greenery in the styled photo are not included.
- Ships from NJ
