Architectural history, weathered by time.
Once part of an architectural structure, this pair of substantial turned wooden balusters carries a beautifully weathered finish that is difficult to replicate.
Layers of aged white paint have cracked and worn away to reveal deep green and dark wood beneath, creating a richly textured surface full of variation and character. The sculptural turned forms and square bases give the pair a strong architectural presence, while the distressed finish lends a subtle coastal, timeworn quality.
At 18¾ inches tall, they make striking decorative accents displayed together on a console, mantel, or dining table. Their scale and substantial weight also make them well suited to layered, collected interiors that mix reclaimed architectural elements with vintage furnishings and natural materials.
No two areas of wear are alike; the exposed layers and imperfections are part of their individual character.
